Alana Lipscomb

WCLI alumna, community leader, and the powerhouse behind Lipscomb Programming.

Alana Lipscomb is a dedicated leader, mentor, and advocate for women’s empowerment. As the Executive Director of the Women’s Community Leadership Initiative (WCLI), she is committed to creating pathways for women to step into leadership roles, serve on boards, and influence decision-making spaces. Under her leadership, WCLI has expanded its reach, securing vital funding, launching innovative initiatives, and increasing access to leadership development opportunities for women across the Pikes Peak region.

Beyond WCLI, Alana is a champion for community resilience, peer coaching, and equity, ensuring that diverse voices are represented at every level of leadership. Her dedication to uplifting others has earned her numerous accolades, including:

  • Unsung Heroine Award – Pikes Peak Women

  • Community Leader of the Year – Pikes Peak State College

  • Rising Star Award – Colorado Springs Business Journal

  • Woman of Impact – One Body ENT

  • Young Business Leader of the Year – Southern Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce

Alana is also a dedicated board member and community leader, serving as:

  • Vice Chair – Inside Out Youth Services Board

  • Board Member – Mindfulness and Positivity Project

  • Community Steering Committee Member – Office of Information Technology (OIT), State of Colorado

Alana is a proud graduate of the Mayor’s Civic Leaders Fellowship Program and the CIVICO Governor’s Fellowship Program, further solidifying her role as a key advocate for leadership, policy, and community engagement.

Her leadership journey began at Pikes Peak Community College, where she earned an Associate Degree in Communication and discovered her passion for community engagement and advocacy. From 2016 to 2018, she served as Chair of the State Student Advisory Council for the Colorado Community College System (SSAC), representing students statewide and ensuring their voices were heard at the highest levels.

In 2017, she was appointed by the Governor to serve on the Colorado Department of Higher Education’s Open Educational Resources Council, advocating for accessible and affordable education for all. Her advocacy and leadership have left a lasting impact on education, equity, and leadership development in Colorado.

Today, Alana continues to spearhead impactful initiatives that empower women, foster leadership, and drive meaningful change in communities. Her vision, passion, and unwavering commitment to creating opportunities for others make her a true force for positive transformation.
